Dark Souls: The Board Game is een coöperatief miniaturen dungeon crawl bordspel.
Om het spel te winnen moeten de spelers samenwerken en een tactiek ontwikkelen om hun vijanden te verslaan voordat ze uiteindelijk de confrontatie met the boss kunnen aangaan. In de loop van het spel moeten de spelers aanvalsplannen ontwikkelen, de zwakke punten van hun tegenstanders zien te ontdekken, en natuurlijk zelf de nodige voorzichtigheid in acht nemen. Als een character van een speler valt in de strijd is het spel niet gelijk over maar er zal wel een prijs betaald moeten worden!

Tomb of Giants is een nieuwe start set voor Dark Souls: The Board Game met een opgefriste en verbeterde regelset en een geheel nieuw campaign systeem. Deze nieuwe Core Set is een geheel op zichzelf staand spel voor 1 tot 3 spelers maar kan, indien gewenst, ook gecombineerd worden met eerder verschenen Dark Souls: The Board Game uitgaven.

The Tomb of the Giants is a forsaken and cursed place, teeming with all manner of dread creatures. Any venturing this far beneath the earth best bring a light, lest they find their own extinguished. Those who survive the skeletal hordes shall find an ancient evil brooding in the blackness… the First of the Dead, Gravelord Nito.

taal Dark Souls: Tomb of Giants is a cooperative board game for 1-3 players. Take control of either the Cleric, Pyromancer, or Thief as you progress through several dark and perilous encounters, culminating in an epic boss battle against Gravelord Nito himself.

To be successful, you must work together. Explore chambers and passages long lost to the living, and defeat your enemies by learning their attack patterns and weaknessses – but be careful. If a character dies, the game doesn’t end, but there will be a cost. If even one of you falls prey to the evil lurking in the darkness, the whole party must return to the bonfire, and each encounter resets.
